Test Conditions
MERL maintains a wide range of pressure vessels and other specialised
test equipment to evaluate materials for oil & gas service. The
focus is on realism is testing, where possible. Conditions include:
HPHT
to 15000 psi; CH4, CO2, N2
to 250°C
long term (> 1 year)
Equipment
instrumented pressure cells for most situations
(e.g., ED, ageing, compatibility, creep)
SOUR GAS
dedicated laboratory on-site
Hostile chemicals
produced, completion, control, kill, muds, inhibitors, biocides,
