Prototype Design and Manufacture in Rubber

MERL offers a prototype design, development and manufacturing service. Independent facilities:

Independent facilities for mixing, moulding and curing
Rubber compound development
Design analysis to meet functional requirements
Mould design and prototype manufacture
Physical testing to establish materials specifications (hardness, tensile strength,ageing etc)
Mechanical testing to verify performance (static and impact, creep, dynamic response, fatigue life etc.)

An Alpha Technologies MDR 2000 curemeter (shown above) is used to quantify cure characteristics. This can produce component temperature profiles.

Applications include seals, automotive and railway suspension components, bearings, model hoses etc.
